gen.step_v1.2 (updated)
This is a MIDI device that has 10 preset sequences for the step object that contains notes to conform to a specific scale with the “forced scale” selection. The 16 steps within the 10 preset sequences are randomly turned on and off to create different rhythms. The rate of the sequencer can also be changed.
Alongside the prominent voice is a second sequencer that follows the current playing note with a different subdivision. It plays a scale degree that harmonizes with the most recent note of the prominent voice.
This MIDI device also works well when applied to instruments with longer attack times.
UPDATES:
"nudge" feature added to a maximum velocity
feature added to randomize the rate of the playing sequence per loop
removed the lesser-used features to streamline the process.
